As of 2/1/24 the Texas Secretary of State’s new policy is it may take them 24 hours to issue an apostille after it’s been filed with them is only available if we receive your original or certified recordable document or a properly notarized by a Texas notary non-recordable document, a prepaid return shipping label, and our completed order form by mail or dropped off at our Austin office by noon CST Monday-Friday.
Please be aware that you or your company cannot be issued a Texas apostille certificate on any type of document from any person or company who states that they are located in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Fort Worth, or El Paso. The places or notaries you see advertising online with addresses in other cities are just opportunistic markup middlemen. The only place and city in Texas where you can be issued an apostille certificate is at the Texas Secretary of State located in Austin, TX.
