How much does an
apostille cost in Texas?

The apostille cost in Texas depends on what type of documents, how many documents you need apostilled or authenticated, and how fast you need them filed.

The Texas Secretary of State has two different divisions that issue state-level apostille and authentication certifications.

The authentication unit and the corporations section unit.

The corporations section unit only issues apostilles and authenticates on corporation documents that you or your legal entity have already filed with the State of Texas and you were given a unique file number.

You cannot physically present to them or mail them any type of documents to apostille or authenticate. They only make copies of documents that were filed in the past with them and then they issue apostilles or authentication certificates on those requested types of corporate documents.

On the authentications unit side, it’s the complete opposite and you must physically present or mail the state the documents that you want apostilled or authenticated.
