How much does an
apostille cost in Texas?

The apostille cost in Texas depends on what type of documents and how many documents you need apostilled.
As of 2025, the cost is $145 for the corporation section per document (this includes all government filing fees) and $95 for the authentication section per document (this includes all government filing fees) for same-day apostille filing services.
The Texas Secretary of State has two different divisions that issue state-level apostille certifications.
The TXSOS authentication unit and the TXSOS corporation section unit.
The corporation’s section unit only issues apostilles on corporation documents that you or your legal entity has already filed in the past with the State of Texas, and you were already given a unique SOS file number.
You cannot physically present to them or mail them any type of documents for an apostille. They only issue certified copies of documents that were filed in the past with them, and then they issue apostille certificates on those requested types of corporate documents.
On the authentication unit side, it’s the complete opposite, and you must physically present in person or mail the state the documents that you want apostilled.
