■ You can only choose ONE foreign (non-USA) country per document. The Texas Secretary of State will only issue ONE apostille certificate for ONE document and ONE foreign (non-USA) country. This means the Texas Secretary of State will not issue multiple apostille certificates or issue apostilles for multiple countries on one document.
■ A Texas Department of Public Safety-issued background check report cannot be notarized under Texas law. Notarization is not required, as it is considered a recordable government document. You also may not attach any additional documents, including notarized documents, to this report.
■ All Texas Secretary of State government document filing fees are included in our flat-fee rush Texas apostille service pricing. You do not mail or drop off a check, cashier’s check, or money order made out to the Texas Secretary of State for state document filing fees because we pay that fee, not you
■ Because we will be rushing to file your documents physically in person at the Texas Secretary of State’s office on your behalf, you DO NOT complete or mail, email, or drop off to us the Texas Apostille Form 2102 or Texas Apostille Form 2103 (for foreign adoptions only). We have a different apostille order form that we must complete and submit to the State of Texas, along with your documents, when doing rush Texas apostille filings.
■ This is not the correct order form page to use if you want to apostille an FBI criminal background check and FBI identity history summary, which is classified as a federal, not state-level (Texas) document. You must go to our FBI background check order page to place an order for FBI apostille services.
■ Above, you may upload multiple Texas Department of Public Safety-issued criminal background check report PDFs (for example, for you and your spouse or for multiple apostille certificates for different countries). However, you may only upload one document (PDF) at a time. You only need to provide one prepaid return shipping label, regardless of how many criminal record check reports you submit or how many apostilles you order.
■ You may only place an online order with us if you have ordered and downloaded a digital/electronic (PDF) version of your Texas Department of Public Safety-issued background check report.
To order online, click the email button below and upload your original TXDPS background check report (PDF) and your prepaid return shipping label.
If you only received a mailed (paper) copy of your Texas Department of Public Safety criminal records check report and did not request or download the optional digital/electronic PDF version, you cannot place an online order with us.
In this case, you must mail or drop off your original Texas Department of Public Safety-issued background check report (the copy you received by mail), along with a prepaid return shipping label and this printed apostille order form page.
Photocopies or scanned versions of the mailed TXDPS criminal records check report are not accepted. You cannot scan or copy the mailed report and email it to us in a PDF format for apostille processing.
The Texas Secretary of State will only accept the original PDF file of your Texas Department of Public Safety-issued criminal records check report that you downloaded (or will download) directly from the TXDPS website. Scanned copies are not accepted. You cannot drop off or email a scanned version of the report, as the original TXDPS-issued PDF contains embedded security watermark features that are not visible and cannot be replicated.
■ When creating and buying a FedEx, UPS, or DHL prepaid return shipping label, they will ask you for a sender’s address (from address), which means that if your documents get lost in the mail, the sender’s address is the return address to which the undelivered documents will be sent back to you by FedEx, UPS, or DHL.
You must put your name and address or your company’s name and address as the sender (from address) on the prepaid shipping label and/or on the customs invoice if shipping internationally. Depending on what foreign country you live in outside the U.S, the FedEx, UPS, or DHL online system may detect your foreign IP address and not allow you to use your foreign address as the sender (from address). If this happens, you will need to list a friend’s, relative’s, or company office address within the U.S. as the sender (from address).
You CANNOT put our company name (Apostille Texas), address, or phone number as the sender or importer because we are not the sender or importer. The sender/importer is you because you created and paid for the prepaid return shipping label, not us, and you are 100% responsible for paying all current shipping and any future customs charges when shipping internationally.
We will not mail your documents back to you if you mail, email, or drop off to us a prepaid return shipping label or a customs invoice that incorrectly lists our company name, phone number, or address anywhere on it. FedEx, UPS, and DHL attempt to collect unpaid shipping bills from our company because people and companies do not pay their full shipping charges and customs fees when shipping internationally.
You must place the prepaid return shipping label that you created and purchased inside the envelope you mail us, along with your documents and our order form. DO NOT place or stick the prepaid return shipping label anywhere else.
You or your representative must not require a photo ID for delivery when shipping your documents to us via FedEx, UPS, or DHL. If a shipment requires photo ID verification for delivery, our front desk staff will not accept the package, and it will be returned to you by the courier as undeliverable.
■ Our Texas same-day document-filing services’ cutoff time is 12:00 PM CST, Monday-Friday. If we receive your documents by drop-off or mail after 12:00 PM CST, your documents will not normally be submitted to the Texas Secretary of State office until the following business day.
■ As of April 20, 2026, the Texas Secretary of State changed its Texas apostille filing turnaround time policies. Depending on how many total documents are submitted to them in person per day by any person or company, your documents might not be issued an apostille certificate by the Texas Secretary of State until 72 hours (THREE BUSINESS DAYS) after we same-day file your documents with the Texas Secretary of State. This could happen even if we receive your documents by email, mail, or drop-off before or by our 12:00 pm CST filing deadline.
