How do I apostille a document
that was notarized by a U.S
military notary?

If your document was notarized on a military base by a commissioned U.S. military notary you must go through the United States Department of State in Washington D.C to receive a federal apostille or authentication certificate on the document. That is because all U.S military notaries are commissioned by the FEDERAL government.

If however, you had a commissioned Texas notary travel to a military base to perform the notary then you must go through the Texas Secretary of State to receive a Texas apostille or authentication certificate on the document. That is because all licensed Texas notaries are commissioned by the TEXAS government.
